Forge Athletic Systems ("Forge," "we," "us") builds software that helps wrestling coaches run their programs. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.

About student-athlete data. Coaches use Forge to manage rosters, which can include information about minors (student-athletes) such as names, grade, weight class, and win/loss records. We treat this data as sensitive. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we only process it to provide the coaching tools the coach uses. See "Student-athlete data" below.

Information we collect

Account information, the coach's email address and, optionally, name and school/team name, used to create and secure your account.
Content you enter, roster entries (which may include student-athletes' names, grade/year, weight class, certified weight, records, and coach's notes), practice plans, lineups, schedules, attendance, and weight-cut plans.
Billing information, handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe does.
Usage information, basic analytics about how the app and website are used (pages viewed, features used, device/browser type) so we can improve the product.

How we use it

To provide and operate the coaching tools you use.
To create your account, log you in (via secure email links), and sync your data across your devices.
To process your subscription and send service emails (login links, receipts, and important account notices).
To understand which features help coaches and to improve the product.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use student-athlete data for advertising or share it with advertisers.

Student-athlete data

Roster information about minors is entered by the coach and belongs to the coach's program. Forge acts as a processor of that data on the coach's behalf. We recommend coaches follow their school's and state association's policies regarding student data, and share only what is needed to run the team. A coach can delete any athlete or their entire roster at any time, which removes that data from our systems.

How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase, on managed cloud infrastructure) and protected by database-level access rules so that each coach can only access their own team's data. Payments are processed by Stripe. Login uses secure, passwordless email links, we don't store passwords. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Service providers we use

Supabase, database, authentication, and hosting of your account data.
Stripe, payment processing and subscription billing.
Resend, sending service emails (login links, receipts).
Netlify, hosting the website and application.
Google Analytics, aggregate usage measurement.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you logged in and to make the app work offline, and basic analytics to measure usage. We do not use advertising trackers.

Your choices and rights

You can view, edit, or delete the roster and program data you enter, at any time, from within the app.
You can cancel your subscription and request deletion of your account and its data by emailing us.
You can opt out of non-essential emails; we'll still send essential service and account emails.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel or request deletion, we remove your account data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep limited records (e.g., billing records) by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the effective date. Significant changes will be communicated by email.
